As part of the US-Indonesia Investment Initiative 2017, AmCham Indonesia and the US Chamber of Commerce (USCC), held the Financial Services and Fintech Mission to bring together US companies with various government officials and other stakeholders.

A welcome reception at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on September 13 kick-started the mission and included our monthly networking event participants.  The reception was attended by about 200 people in the financial services and information and communication technology (ICT) sectors, from association representatives to companies and government officials.

The reception was opened by welcome remarks from AmCham Indonesia President Brian Arnold. He was followed by the United States Ambassador to Indonesia Joseph Donovan, who spoke on the trade relationship between the two countries.

All attendees found the event to be a great chance to expand their networks and see how business is done in Indonesia. For those from overseas, getting to know first hand what companies in Indonesia think about the issues related to the mission provided invaluable insights.

We would like to express our gratitude to those who supported the event, especially the Mandarin Oriental Hotel team. AmCham Indonesia will be back again with our monthly networking evening in October. We hope to see you there!
