AmCham Indonesia hosted its second networking evening of the year on February 8 at the Al-Nafoura Lebanese restaurant in the Le Meridien Hotel Jakarta. Despite heavy rain that day, the crowd enjoyed the evening as an alternative to the rain-fuelled rush hour.

A full house of participants gathered to meet friends, make business contacts, share ideas, and, of course, enjoy delectable food and beverages at one of Jakarta’s best Middle Easter restaurants. Intern students from Australia came all the way from Cilegon to attend the evening with their supervisors, who are member of AmCham Indonesia, and said it was a great opportunity to build relationships and expand their networks.

The evening was hosted by venue sponsor Le Meridien Hotel Jakarta. Guests sampled authentic Middle Eastern cuisine such as the signature Haruf Oize (braised lamb shank Quzi style served with oriental rice, assorted nuts and yogurt sauce) accompanied by cold and hot mezzeh appetizers such as hummus, tabbouleh and samboussek. AmCham would like to thank Le Meridien for providing a stunning venue, door prizes and fabulous food.

Special recognition also goes to our Executive Sponsor, Hayden T. Joseph & Company – cross border tax consultants providing tax consultancy and services for individual, corporate, estate tax, partnership and trust compliance for anyone touched by the tax system of the US, the UK or Southeast Asia.

And last, but not least, we would like to thank all the guests who supported the event. We hope to see you again at our next networking evening in early March.
