As part of the 2018 US-Indonesia Investment Initiative, AmCham Indonesia and the US Chamber of Commerce (USCC) brought together US companies for our Financial Services and Fintech Mission. The delegation met with various government officials and the private sector.

But it wasn’t all talk of policy reforms and regulatory concerns. We invited the mission delegates to join our networking evening, this time held in conjunction with the Indonesian Australia Business Council (IABC), the Italian Business Association in Indonesia (IABI) and the Indonesia Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC). The event was held at the gleaming and recently renovated AYANA Midplaza Jakarta hotel ballroom on June 28.

In what is becoming a mini-tradition during Investment Initiative missions, we also provided a photo booth for those attending the evening to snap a souvenir photo, the pre-selfie way.

The reception was attended by more than 200 people, from all sectors and four sponsoring chambers. A number of ICT companies and government officials also joined the event.

As always, the evening was a time to expand networks and talk business in Indonesia.

“It was my first time attending an event hosted by AmCham, and I was really impressed to see so many people from various industries and backgrounds. I would definitely love to attend again if invited. Excellent networking!” said Joohan Lee, Secretary General of the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Indonesia (KoCham).

We would like to express our appreciation to our venue sponsor AYANA Midplaza Jakarta and generous spotlight sponsor for the evening CFLD International, and we thank our attendees for their ongoing support and participation.

We hope to see you again at our next AmCham monthly networking evening and our next mission.
