Scott D. Hanna

After working two years in Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold headquarters based in New Orleans, Scott Hanna transferred to PT Freeport Indonesia in 2006.
Scott Hanna graduated Summa Cum Laude from Jamestown College, where he was president of the student government and NAIA Dakota Athletic Conference Scholar Athlete in football.
He received a master’s degree from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, where he served as an AmeriCorps volunteer in an elementary school. Scott has also attended the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. He was selected as the 1998 North Dakota Horatio Alger National Scholar and as the Horatio Alger 2004 Alumnus of the Year.
In 2012, he was awarded the Young Alumni Medallion for Jamestown College, recognizing professional achievement and community involvement.
Scott serves on the Board of Governors and as Treasurer for the American Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia (AmCham) and Co-Chair of the Overseas Security Advisory Committee for Indonesia. He has lived in Indonesia for nearly 11 years and is fluent in the Indonesian national language, bahasa Indonesia. Scott lives in Jakarta with his wife, two daughters, and four dogs.
