Darrell Johnson is the Senior Foreign Legal Consultant with the law firm Soewito Suhardiman Eddymurthy Kardono. Darrell has resided and practiced in Indonesia for 38 years. He specializes in legal matters of interest to foreign investors and has advised on the establishment and operation of numerous foreign investment and other projects covering a wide array of business sectors. He is widely recognized as a leading lawyer in Indonesia in such areas as oil and gas, energy, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, insurance regulatory matters, insolvency, franchising, and banking and project finance. Darrell designed and led the implementation of Indonesia’s ELIPS Project, a multi-dimensional and multi-year commercial law reform project. Darrell is a graduate of the University of Southern California and Stanford Law School, where he served on the Board of Editors of the Stanford Law Review. He is admitted to practice in California and before the United States Supreme Court and has previously served on the Board of Governors of AmCham Indonesia.
