Daniel L. Wieczynski


A native of Blacksburg, Virginia, Dan joined the Baton Rouge Refinery of Exxon Company U.S.A. in 1990 following his graduation from The Ohio State University, where he earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. 

Dan held several engineering, planning, and supervisor positions at the refinery, and was appointed Operations Supervisor for Pipestill/Crude Distillation in 1995.  In 1997 Dan joined Exxon Company U.S.A.’s HQ organization in Houston, Texas and held assignments in Planning and Supply.  In 2000 Dan moved to Fairfax, VA in ExxonMobil’s new Supply organization following the merger with Mobil.  Later that year he returned to Texas as Turnaround and Construction Department Head for the Baytown Refinery.

In 2003 Dan joined ExxonMobil Development Company and held positions in Project Business Management and Human Resources.  In 2006 Dan moved to Italy as Project Manager for the Adriatic LNG Pipeline project.  In 2008 he assumed the Senior Project Manager position at South Hook LNG Terminal project in Wales, and in 2010 he was seconded to Chevron as Deputy Downstream Director for the Gorgon Project, responsible for Engineering, Procurement, and Fabrication yards. 

In 2011, Dan returned to ExxonMobil Development Company in Houston as Project Services Manager.  In 2013, Dan was named Senior Vice President and General Manager / Project Executive for ExxonMobil Cepu Ltd, responsible for all project activities in Indonesia.  On January 1, 2016 Dan was named President of ExxonMobil’s affiliate in Indonesia.
