More Voting Members Allowed Under New AmCham Structure

Changes impact Board elections, now underway

The AmCham Indonesia Board of Governors has made some important changes to our membership structure, which will give us more voting members and allow more employees from member companies to get involved. Effective immediately, each corporate membership will include up to three voting members. Please refer to the information below for your reference. The office is happy to assist if you have further questions.

The changes will allow more members to register and vote for our 2019 Board of Governors, which is underway now, and the results of which will be announced at our Annual General Meeting on December 3.

We are also pleased to announce that US Ambassador to Indonesia Joseph R Donovan will be the featured speaker at the AGM.

Here are the changes:

  • Our Basic Corporate Membership will nowincludethree voting members per company under one Corporate Membership. All our current Corporate members need to do is submit the eligible names to the AmCham office. If you currently have additional corporate members, up to a maximum of three will be included under one Corporate Membership.
  • Premier Members can have a maximum of six members.
  • Platinum Members can have a maximum of 20 members. Just register the names with the office.
  • Starting with the December 3 AGM, all corporate and individual members are eligible to vote.

In this election, six governors will be elected to the board to serve a two-year term for the 2019-2020 calendar years.

The advance voting period started on Tuesday, 20 November, and will end Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 17:00. All identifying marks on ballots will be removed after authentication and prior to counting.

Eligible members can also vote in person at the AGM, December 3, 2018, from 11.00 until 12.15.

Please be advised that no proxies are permitted. The announcement of the new board will take place at the end of the Annual General Meeting.
