We cordially invite you to join our first in-person Food and Agriculture Committee meeting on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 9:00-10:30.

The Covid-19 pandemic has provided testament of the importance of the food and agriculture sector in driving growth of the Indonesian economy during the height of the pandemic. As the country is recovering, it is necessary to create a conducive regulatory environment to enhance the resilience, sustainability, and productivity of the sector and eventually the Indonesian economy. Nevertheless, we still face some challenges. The meeting will discuss priority issues in the sector, including the regulations on mandatory halal certification, import restrictions, and plastic waste management. We will also discuss the government’s plan to include more products in the local content requirement system, which will have significant impacts to the sector.
