AmCham Indonesia held a Platinum & Premier Courtesy Meeting with Lorenta P. K. Siahaan, Assistant Deputy for Foreign Food Trade Commerce at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs on June 17, bringing together member companies for a constructive discussion on Indonesia’s food trade and commodity distribution policies. The meeting covered Kemenko Pangan’s current priorities on food self-sufficiency, commodity balance, supply availability, and price stability, as well as key considerations in balancing domestic production and industry needs.
During the meeting, AmCham Indonesia Managing Director Donna Priadi emphasized the importance of finding a balanced solution that supports the government’s food security objectives while providing companies with the certainty needed to continue operating and investing in Indonesia. Participants also shared perspectives on strengthening coordination, predictability, and data-driven approaches to support business continuity and food trade resilience.
AmCham Indonesia thanks Assistant Deputy Lorenta Siahaan, Kemenko Pangan, and all participating companies for the valuable engagement. We look forward to continued collaboration with government stakeholders and members in supporting a more resilient food trade framework in Indonesia.
