AmCham Indonesia & Joint Chambers Meeting with the Ministry of Manpower
AmCham Indonesia, together with other foreign chambers of commerce, met with Prof. Dr. Sugeng Heri Suseno - Director General of Workforce Placement Development and Employment Opportunity Expansion (Binapenta & PKK), on August 3 to discuss planned revisions to Minister of Manpower Regulation 8/2021 on Foreign Worker Utilization.
Lead by AmCham Managing Director Donna Priadi as head of the delegation, the meeting was also attended by Rendra Setiawan, Director of Foreign Worker Utilization (PPTKA), and senior officials from the PPTKA Directorate. Discussions focused on recent regulatory developments, implementation challenges under the current foreign worker utilization framework, and opportunities to strengthen the system in support of an effective and competitive business environment in Indonesia.
AmCham Indonesia and the Joint Chambers extend their appreciation to the Ministry of Manpower for its openness to stakeholder engagement and continued efforts to improve Indonesia’s foreign worker regulations. The chambers look forward to maintaining constructive dialogue with the ministry as the revision process moves forward.
