AmCham Indonesia held a courtesy meeting with Delfinur Rizky Novihamzah, Director of Business Empowerment at the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, under AmCham’s OTC Medicine Distribution Working Group on June 18. The meeting brought together member companies for a constructive discussion on the implementation of Indonesia’s regulatory framework for the distribution of over-the-counter (OTC) and limited OTC medicines through Hypermarkets, Supermarkets, and Minimarkets (HSM).
The discussion highlighted the importance of clear technical guidance, coordinated implementation, and practical compliance pathways to support regulatory objectives while maintaining business continuity and public access to OTC medicines.
During the meeting, AmCham Indonesia Managing Director Donna Priadi emphasized that member companies remain committed to complying with existing regulations and supporting the government’s policy objectives. She underscored the importance of continued dialogue between government and industry to identify balanced solutions that provide regulatory certainty, support investment, and ensure effective implementation.
