AmCham Indonesia took part in a meeting with Bapak Slamet Aji Pamungkas, Deputy for Economic Cybersecurity and Cryptography at the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), on June 17. Together with the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC), the meeting provided an opportunity to share views on Indonesia’s cybersecurity landscape, policy priorities, emerging technologies, and opportunities for public-private collaboration.

Deputy Slamet highlighted BSSN’s role in strengthening national cybersecurity resilience and supporting a secure and trusted digital ecosystem. He noted the increasing importance of cybersecurity across sectors and emphasized the need for continued cooperation among government and industry to address evolving cyber risks.

Puri Kencana Putri, Cybersecurity Working Group Lead of the AmCham ICT Committee and Government and Regulatory Affairs Executive at IBM, highlighted the long-lasting commitment of US companies to supporting Indonesia’s cybersecurity ecosystem and emphasized the importance of continued government-industry collaboration to strengthen the security and resilience of Indonesia’s digital economy while supporting innovation and investment.

Participants also exchanged updates and perspectives on cybersecurity policy developments, emerging technologies, and digital transformation initiatives, while discussing opportunities to strengthen cyber resilience, workforce capabilities, and the security of Indonesia’s digital ecosystem.
