(IN-PERSON) Corporate Citizenship Committee - June 2026

AmCham Indonesia discussed the evolving landscape of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and Circular Economy in Indonesia through its Corporate Citizenship Committee Meeting on June 9.

The meeting featured insightful presentations from Eka Hilda Utami L. from the Directorate of Waste Reduction and Circular Economy Development at the Ministry of Environment/Environmental Control Agency (KLH/BPLH) and Reza Andreanto, Chair of Indonesia Packaging Recovery Organization (IPRO), who shared updates on regulatory developments, industry readiness, and the future direction of EPR implementation in Indonesia. The discussion was moderated by Jeffrey Haribowo, Corporate Affairs Director Cocoa, Mars Wrigley Indonesia. Discussions covered the revision of Ministerial Regulation 75/2019, the establishment of Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs), and key industry priorities, such as producer registration, eco-modulation mechanisms, traceability, recycling infrastructure, and the critical role of local governments in strengthening waste management systems.
