AmCham Indonesia held a courtesy meeting with Dyan Garneta Paramita Sari, Director of Food, Seafood, and Fisheries Industries at the Ministry of Industry, on July 23 to discuss the availability of pharmaceutical-grade refined sugar as a critical raw material for the pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare industries.
Representing AmCham Indonesia, Wayan Agus Purnomo, Government Relations Director, was joined by representatives from member companies to exchange perspectives on current industry challenges, ongoing efforts to strengthen domestic supply resilience, and the importance of ensuring reliable access to essential raw materials that support the continued production of consumer healthcare products.
AmCham Indonesia appreciates the Ministry of Industry’s openness to engaging with industry and discussing practical pathways to address supply challenges. We look forward to continued collaboration in support of Indonesia’s manufacturing competitiveness, supply chain resilience, and long-term healthcare objectives.
