AmCham Indonesia Halal Working Group held a Courtesy Audience Meeting with the National Economic Council (DEN) on September 21, 2026, led by Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Chairman of the National Economic Council.
The meeting provided an opportunity for AmCham Indonesia member companies to engage directly with the leadership of the National Economic Council and share perspectives as part of AmCham Indonesia’s ongoing advocacy regarding the implementation of mandatory halal certification.
The discussion also supported continued dialogue between the private sector and the Government on the broader implications of mandatory halal certification, particularly its potential impact on trade, investment, supply-chain resilience, product availability, and Indonesia’s overall economic competitiveness.
