The new Golden Visa was the topic du jour as AmCham Indonesia's Human Resources Committee meeting was briefed on the policy by Director of Immigration Cooperation Anggiat Napitupulu, Head of the Sub-directorate of Immigration Residence Status Tessar Bayu Setyaji, and Directorate of Immigration Traffic Analyst Wihadi Sutrisno, on April 30 at SSEK Law Firm Office.
The discussion centered on enabling investors to leverage the benefits of the Golden Visa program, and also updates on a new bridging visa scheme for foreigners.
Boeing Indonesia Country Director Zaid Alami shared his experiences of the application process as a Golden Visa holder under the Global Talent category. He praised the Directorate of Immigration’s speedy granting of the visa, and noted several improvements to immigration services for foreigners.
The meeting ended in an engaging Q&A session on the details of the Golden Visa, the benefits and challenges of the new visa program and other immigration issues. Immigration officials welcomed input from AmCham members, and appreciated the opportunity for open and constructive dialogue.
