The Committee wills serve as platform to address the evolving trade issues which will include import policy, trade barriers such tariff and non-tariff issues, and supply chain disruption. The committee is being established in light of recent and ongoing developments, not only on the US-Indonesia trade relations, but also in regards to geopolitical developments, including ASEAN or BRICS issues, which have had direct implications AmCham members. At the same time, logistics and supply chain resilience have become core strategic priorities as companies navigate infrastructure bottlenecks, regional connectivity, and digital trade integration.
The role of Trade and Logistic Committee is to assist interested member companies to:
Understand better the Indonesia’s trade policy direction and how it will impact business community particularly for AmCham members;
Create platforms and opportunities for members to connect with key stakeholders in the aforementioned issues;
Serve as platform to advocate AmCham members’ interests to key Indonesian government stakeholders in the development of best regulations, standards and practices that may align with global best practices.
